The math, worked out

Each credit costs more than the extra-text rate suggests.

Included credits cost 4¢ to 20¢ each.

Every self-serve plan comes with the same 500 credits a month. The higher plans buy a better number and a lower extra-text rate, not more texts.

  • Launch: $20 for 500 credits = 4¢ a text
  • Boost: $60 for 500 credits = 12¢ a text
  • Scale: $100 for 500 credits = 20¢ a text

Past 500 texts a month, every text is 3¢ to 4¢.

That is the overage rate on the pricing page, before any bundle discount offered at checkout.

  • Launch: 4¢ per extra text
  • Boost: 3.5¢ per extra text
  • Scale: 3¢ per extra text

Credits don't wait long.

On monthly plans, unused credits roll over for one more month. On yearly plans, credits are issued up front and expire 12 months after purchase.

  • Monthly plans: up to two months to use a credit
  • Yearly plans: 12 months, then they expire
  • Each extra user: $10 a month

EZ Texting suits small lists, and VoiceDrop suits lists that grow.

If you text a few hundred people a month, a $20 EZ Texting plan is hard to argue with. The math changes past 500 texts: every text after that costs 3¢ to 4¢, while VoiceDrop charges 1.45¢ to 2.22¢ for every text, with no included-credit cap to run past.

VoiceDrop puts your list, your replies and your opt-outs in one account, and it adds calling from the browser and personal voice messages to the same login.
